'I made sure he wasted his time': Guy gets payback against an impatient line-cutter at a restaurant by neglecting to inform him that he's waiting in the wrong line

Entitled people often don't realize when they're disrespecting someone. Lost in their own world and wrapped up in their own tiny lives, self-important folks don't realize how their actions are affecting the people around them– especially those of us too polite to clap back. However, once in a blue moon, entitled naivety can punish someone without conflict. Now that's some satisfying karma!

  • If you're anything like me, there's no greater silent disrespect than when you knowingly cut someone in line. But as a non-confrontational person, I'd never call someone out for cutting me in line, I'd simply stand there and let my blood boil, but in our next story, a guy uses his non-confrontational nature to his advantage.

    For some reason, I have been getting quite a few people feel entitled and just come and cut in line. Now normally, I don't say anything but I've learned to speak up whenever this happens. Usually they leave. However, this particular time I thought it is best to stay quiet.

    obsessed with looking into his phone to avoid interaction with me I will never know, but he was in the wrong line up as there is a separate line for pick ups (which was empty btw). He could have gone directly there and been out the door in 30 seconds. Instead, he waited

    15 mins in line and when he was about 2 people behind the counter I guess he opened his eyes long enough to realize there is a separate line for pick up only. He then proceeds to leave and go to the counter to pick up his food. Thankfully though, the employee who was at that counter just left and he actually waited longer than me. Sometimes staying quiet is the best move.

    p ssed me off but I kept my cool and asked if I could help her. She needed to return some makeup she bought from a beauty store we were partnered with but didn't want to wait in line because we only had one person cashiering that part of the store.

    line for 15+ minutes, was told she needs to go to the beauty side, and at that point had to wait another 30 minutes to return her stuff. May not have been much but I felt justified wasting her time when she was to me for acting like an merely existing in a customer service position.
